How To Revise Effectively Daily
There are certain things on which exam preparation depends. One of the most important factor is consistency. No matter how talented you are, if you are not consistent, things are not going to be good for you.
Let me give you an example. A student studying for 3 hours daily is better than a student who studies for 6 hours but irregularly. So the first thing you have to do is to build consistency. It will take some time but you have to keep trying for it.
Now coming to the main topic of the article which is about revision strategy. Revision is the most important for any examination. When we start studying any particular subject, at first it seems to us that we remember everything. But when certain days pass, everything gets evaporated from our brain.
Some students start preparing subjects one by one. When they complete all the subjects, they start revision. During the revision process, they feel that they have not retained much in the first go and they forget most of the formulas and mathematical values.
So a huge portion of hard work which they have done earlier gets wasted. To get it fixed, here is the revision strategy:
- Start your examination preparation by selecting one or 2 subjects. You can choose any subject as per your choice or marks weightage.
- Once you complete these 2 subjects, start preparing the 3rd subject.
- While you start preparing 3rd subject, you have to revise these 2 subjects in parallel. You can choose morning 3 hours for revision of these 2 subjects, allocating 1.5 hours to each subject.
- You have to keep revising these 2 subjects until you complete your 3rd subject.
- Once you complete the 3rd subject, start preparation for the 4th subject.
- But at the same time, you have to revise these 3 subjects in parallel.
- Now you may think how can we revise 3 subjects at the same time. It is simple. You have to allocate time to each subject. If you want to revise for 3 hours, you can provide 1 hour for each subject.
- You can also revise 2 subjects in the morning and one at another time as per your convenience.
- This process will go on continuously and it will help you retain things very well.
- You will always remain in touch will all the completed subjects and there are very less chances that you will forget anything.
Once you complete multiple revisions of a particular subject, it will mark its imprints on your brain. Further, try to remember formulas and standard values with some tricks or jokes.
This is one of the best methods to remember things. When you complete a particular subject, try to discuss some of the important topics with your friend. It helps to retain concepts more effectively.
When you complete a particular topic, give yourself a break of at least 15 minutes and when you come back, close your eyes to recall all the stuff you have learnt earlier. It will also boost your retaining power.
Conclusion
