Who is eligible for PM Kisan Yojana 2023
When the government launched this scheme, its benefits were enjoyed by certain farmers whose landholding was up to 2 hectares. But later on, this criteria was revised on June 1, 2019.
As per the new criteria, all farmers and families were made eligible for this scheme, irrespective of their land holdings. This is very good news for farmers as some of them didn’t fulfil the old eligibility criteria. Now you should only possess some land which is suitable for the cultivation/growing of crops to be eligible as per revised eligibility criteria.
Who is not eligible for PM Kisan Yojana
The following farmers are not eligible for this scheme as per the latest eligibility criteria.
- Institutional Landholders
- Family of farmers in which any family member belongs to any of the below-mentioned fields:
- Professionals like Doctors, Engineers’ Lawyers etc.
- Income taxpayer in the last assessment year.
- Any government employee who is retired and gets more than 10000 Rs or more as a pension. Class IV employees are not included in it.
